Question About Clutchmates - Is there a Limit?

Haha, figured I'd get the ball rolling in this board with a question. ^_^;;

How many clutchmates are allowed from a single breeding?

Say, for example, Arazia and I breed her Morgan and my Sour together this September, and we each want a hatchling. But, a friend on another forum, who has no Wyrm yet, would like a hatchling from that coupling, as well. Or a second person wants one as well. Or a third.

Is there a limit to how many clutchmates can be hatched from one pairing?

The clutch mates are intended as a way for both handlers to get a Wyrm baby from a single breeding, so they don't have to use multiple breedings to get a baby. So, unless the breeding comes up twins, the limit on a single breeding is 2 offspring.

That said, handlers are MORE than welcome to breed their wyrms multiple times, and request clutchmates for each breeder. "Gifting" or adopting out the resulting babies is entirely up to the owners. It's a grey area, kind of like requesting a fee for allowing someone else to use one of your wyrms breedings. Basically we (Cruuindrac Farms) keep out of it, and it's up to the breeders to decide what to do with the offspring. ;3

To keep the rarity quotas in line, our official rule will be that you can request clutchmates for your breedings the following number of times.

Rares - 1
Uncommons - 3
Commons - 4

What about when there are two breeding requests during the same season? One female, two males owned by two different handlers? If the owner of the female wants a baby from each breeding, and the owners of the males each want a baby from their breeding, can that be done?

I think each breeding is treated separately.

So... Female1+Male1 can have a clutchmate for each owner.
And.. Female1 + Male2 can have a clutchmate for each owner.

HopefulMonster will correct me if I'm wrong.

Yup! Each Breeding is treating independently. Breeding = up to two babies if clutchmates are being requested. So theoretically an owner of a female Wyrm COULD end up with multiple clutchmates for wyrms that were sired with different males.

Might put a cap on it per breeding season though, to reflect the real animal breeding. (IE I feel sorry for female wyrms being expected to pop out too many babies in a single season! ;3)
Like, maybe females can only Breed twice per season? Would have to come up with something similar for males though...I mean, realistically, a male stud could only sire so many litters before he was...erhem....shooting blanks?....for the season.

Any thoughts or opinions y'all?

Adding a note to this thread as well.

Spoke to HopefulMonster today and she's lifted the limits on Clutchmates per season having to do with rarity.
