Okay so I know a whole bunch of us drink tea. What are your favourites, what do they taste like, where can you get them, etc. Let's talk teas!
Edit: And if your tea blend is meant for something specified (like sleeping for example) how did it work? Did it help?
-

For me I really enjoy earl grey. So far my favourite is Twinings.

You can get it at grocery stores, or at least I do. It's got a really nice smell and if you brew it a longer time it can have a strong taste. It's a little bit bitter though so if you're into the idea of adding things to your tea you may want to. It also makes a decent summery drink if you get a big pitcher of hot water and brew a few teabags in that. Don't let it steep for long, the idea is just to get the flavour and not a lot of the bitterness. Let that chill and drink whenever as iced tea. Shouldn't need sugar but if you add that or lemon it's still pretty good.

I drink and collect a lot of tea! I've had most of teavana's teas and still have some from teaopia, back when it was a thing. As a note, I drink my tea clear, so these teas may be too sweet or not sweet enough for you depending on how you dress your own cuppa. I own a whole lot (read, almost all) of teavana teas and am not drinking a whole lot. If there is a flavour you want to try and I have it, I'd be happy to send some your way. I've recently found David's teas and *much* prefer them to teavana for quality and taste. Seriously, all three bags I've gotten are all stars for me.

Here are a few that really stand out to me:

Toasted Nut Brulee Oolong (teavana)- Is fantastic. It has real nuts in it, so don't take it to work or school, but it's more than sweet enough to curb sugar cravings without actually adding sugar.

Chocolate Bananas Foster Herbal x Matevana (teavana) - It's a sweet mix that sort of tastes a bit like coffee and chocolate. The banana's really faint. I like mixing mates in with herbal because I'm a caffeine junkie and can't just drink herbal tea in the morning. Delicious and gives a nice kick. Mate has about the same amount of caffeine as coffee

Citrus Lavender Sage Herbal x Youthberry OR Wild Orange Blossom (x sometimes Java Vana Mate)- I love this herbal blend, especially when my throat is sore. It's got no caffeine in it, or such a middling amount that i can't feel it, but is so tasty that I forgive it that.

Silver needle green tea- available at lots of places- It's really got to be made properly, it's really delicate, but well worth it. Very pretty, mildly floral and sweet and barely there.

Organic Stormy Night Tea (David's tea)- It's a halloween seasonal tea with chili, chocolate, chinese black tea and coconut. Coconut is really mild but it is spicy and sweet as sin, as the label says. Trying to make this one last as long as possible.

Glitter and Gold (David's teas)- It's black and cinnamony and has sparkly balls of sugar in it that melt and make your tea sparkly and delicous. It'd be one of my faves without the sparkles, but I can't deny that I really love glttery tea.

Read My Lips (David's tea) - is like dessert in a cup with enough caffeine to wake me up. The chcolate pieces are pretty big and noteacable. It's vanilla, chinese black tea, mint, chocolate and saigon peppercorns. Yes. Just yes.

I grew up on iced tea and I'm just a tea lover in general. I've actually been on a huge hot tea kick the last month and a half, and this is what I've been drinking:

  • Bigelow
    • Plantation Mint - A very smooth, not overly sweet spearmint tea
    • All Natural Organic Green Tea with Pomegranite & Acai - A very light fruity green tea (may also come in non-organic, this was the only one I could find at my store)
  • Lipton
    • Green Tea Superfruit White Mangosteen and Peach - A refreshing blend of peach and light citrus (one of my favorites)
    • Green Tea Superfruit Decaffeinated Blackberry Pomegranate Green Tea - The name says it all

A Note On Green Tea Superfruit - The only flavors I do not like that I have tried are Acai Dragonfruit Melon Green Tea, as I don't like melon and there is a very strong taste, and Passionfruit Coconut Green Tea, as I can't stomach the specific coconut flavoring they use
  • Tazo
    • Awake - A great breakfast tea
    • Zen - A nice green tea blend
  • Twinings
    • Earl Grey - One of my favorite teas
    • Lady Grey - The Earl's sassy counterpart, with a hint of citrus
    • Green Tea - A nice, crisp green with no frills
    • Jasmine Green Tea - A floral, but not overly sweet, Green Tea
    • English Breakfast - A nice, robust black breakfast tea
    • Irish Breakfast - A subtler version of the English
  • Yorkshire (I HIGHLY recommend this brand if you are looking for a simple cup of black tea)
    • Yorkshire Tea - "A proper brew, pure and simple. Great quality, loads of flavour."
    • Yorkshire Gold - "Our luxury blend. Made with tea from the world’s finest tea gardens, Yorkshire Gold is a rich and refreshing brew. The smooth malty flavour of the second flush of the Assam season are combined with the fresh lively character of peak season teas from Rwanda and the highlands of East Africa. The result is a luxurious, full-bodied tea with a rich flavour. Top quality and great taste."

Brand: Bigelowe
Box: Assorted Herb Teas
Flavour: Sweet Dreams (Chamomile + mint)
Ingredients: chamomile, hibiscus, peppermint leaves, rose blossoms, spearmint leaves, spice, orange blossoms
Recommended steeping time: 3 to 5 minutes

Okay so first off I was intrigued since I've been looking for sleep-assisting teas. First thing I did was sniff the bag. It has a crazy strong mint odor. You can smell it while it's steeping as well as smell a sort of sweet odor which I'm guessing comes from the chamomile. I let it sit for 3 minutes rather than the 5 since I was being cautious about the new taste. After brewing it has a really mild smell. I've kind of been put off mint teas due to having a bad experience with a keurig cup but this was delightful. It's slightly sweet and pretty mild just like it smells. I think it'll go up there as a favourite once I try it a few different ways.

I love, love, love tea!!!

One of my most favorites is: http://www.twiningsusashop.com/irish-breakfast.html

My husband and I actually keep the tins around even after we run out because they still smell sooooo good!

I also love waaaay too many other kinds of tea to list, but I will be sure to post reviews of any interesting or super duper tasty ones I try.

Twinings Earl grey is a very nice tea indeed, unfortunately my sister doesn't like me drinking it (because the whole box apparently belongs to her).
Earl grey is possibly one of my favourites.
I haven't had the chance to try a lot of different teas though.

Another one which I did try was called 'Full English Breakfast' (by Twinings again I think).
It's got quite a strong flavour, but the after taste is a little odd.
It's great for perking you up though, especially if you are feeling groggy in the morning.
