Anthrocon was so exciting, not just for all the art I got to do, but also because of the wyrms I was able to adopt!
Dani had my Winter Season wyrm ready for me, and tho he did not come with a data card (yet) I decided he was male, and named him Spore (being the son of two Mushroom Gatherers, Shitake and Raja):
On Friday, I was lucky enough to get an egg from the second group that was put out that day. That is where I got my lovely Tunneler that Kai suggested I name Bacon! (later, at the wyrm meet, he bacame a minion of Big Q, thus the yellow band....):
On Saturday, I managed to snag this beautiful Mini wyrm, thanks to Tyrrlin's sharp eye! (she would have bought him if I didn't, which was quite a sacrifice, considering how beautiful he is!) He has a 'mule' data card, so I decided he was male (look at those teeth!) but no egg (again, yet) and I have named him Serpentine, after the gemstone that has many shades of green:
I later got this beautiful Tesla girl that I named Tick-Tock! Teslas are my most-wanted wyrms, and I am thrilled to get one! I honestly did not think there would be any at AC:
On Sunday I was able to get the sparkely green egg that represented my last treasure of the convention, little Oz, the Flickerling!:
I am thrilled that I was able to bring home so many pretties, and that they are all different breeds from what I already have (except for the bred wyrm, Spore, of course!) I was trying for the breeding set of Phoenixes in the art show, but I decided that I had spent enough money on wyrms already, and couldn't fight for them when they went to auction. There will be other chances......
All-in-all, I had a great time with all the wyrm-speak, chatting with D, Arazia, Tyr, Kai and Year, watching a sculpting session, late-night naughty sketching in 'someone's' book, and bringing new potential wyrm-handlers into the fold.
I can't wait for FurFright!
