A little poem for Rii'haku. I can just see him in the snow, protecting all the other fairy wyrms as they bring him little gifts. :3

The moonlight fell around the trees,
Ushering a hushed quiet lull.
I paused, around me the gentle breeze,
Lilted amongst the snowy wonderland.

But above me shone a golden light,
And with a gasp I turned my gaze.
For hanging on the lofty height,
Sat a golden creature there.

"Do not fear me, for I am,
King Rii'haku, of Tyrrlin's band.
Stand still, behold the sight, madame,
For on this night the magic begins."

I looked in awe at his majesty,
Trembling though I was at he,
He smiled and gestured pointedly.
The buzz of wings grew loud and slow.

"Behold", said he, spreading his wings,
"The children of the forest fly."
Around me fairy wyrms did ring,
Their delicate humming surrounding us both.

The flickered and fluttered, loud their song,
Dropping gem stones bright before the king.
He smiled at me then at his throng,
His glory awesome to behold.

The fairy wyrms fluttered off,
Leaving just the king and I.
His gems, he gazed and with a cough,
Offered one to me.

"Seelie King of the Fairies, I offer to thee,
The protection of the forest and fairies.
Good night to you," and with a scree,
He disappeared into the night.
