If breeding one of the royals with a not-royal, is it still possible to use charms to bring genes over from the not-royal wyrm?

Tokens may only be used on card-listed traits.
Wyld Magic, which is what exhibits most of the traits on a royal breeding, is not something which can be tokened.

I no longer remember why I asked this question (maybe someone said something about not being able to use trait tokens on a royal breeding?) but I think I was asking if I can use a token to bring over genes from the not-royal wyrm.

Of course.
On breedable wyrms, you can always use tokens to bring over traits from either parent. As long as they are specifically card traits, and are not magical.
