Please keep comments relevant, so questions about repairs are fine, requests for a visit to 'The Spa' are fine, random comments that clutter up the thread are discouraged. I want this to be a place I can easily keep track of any repair requests or questions, so folks can get answers quickly. ;3

In regards to horn replacements, breaks, paint touch ups, minor repairs to your beloved Wyrms, a Handler has two choices.

Option A) attempt to glue or fix the damage themselves. If you have questions or are unsure, please please please don't hesitate to post in this topic and ask! I'm more than happy to advise where I can, and any 'wounds' your Wyrms have sustained might be an easy fix right in the comfort of your home. However, some handlers prefer to trust the professionals with their Wyrms 'veterinary needs', and so I also offer....

Option B) contact me via this topic, and let me know what the situation is, in as much detail as possible. Example, left horn on my moss hoarder broke off, towards the base of the horn. Horn stub is still inside the Wyrm head, but clean break no further damage to Wyrm. OR, fang broke on teacup Crinkler, upper jaw sustained minor chipping from the break and may need touch ups.
In this case, a photo link is very helpful, and will give me a better idea of the damage and if its something I can fix easily, or if it will require a more extensive stay at 'The Spa'. Occasionally, a Wyrm is beyond my help and the only options are to love them despite their damage, or to re-make a Wyrm entirely. (The 'Re-birth' option is at my discretion, and depends on my available time and if I have the supplies needed to recreate the particular Wyrm.)

I had a shrieker ear spike pop out on me and I didn't see it happen so I have no idea where it went but it was a clean pop out. Would this fall under free repairs or would I have to pay the horn replacement fee?

If I have to provide the horn/spike/etc, it falls under paid repairs.

I have a question about the "butt plumes" repair.... Xin only ever sits on the shelf, but every time I even so much as nudge him, he loses a butt plume feather. How are they attached? I'm rather surprised that he molts so easily, and would like to secure his plumes a bit better.

The feather plumes are all individually hand tied w/ upholstery strength thread, and then hot glue is used to glue them into the bum. Because feathers are a natural material, they *can* dry out and deteriorate over time.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conserv ... f_feathers

This gives a basic rundown on the info, but essentially sunlight, dust, humidity and a number of other conditions affect the condition of feathers. This is why birds molt, to grow fresh new feathers that are undamaged.

OK so if I were to attempt to make a new spike myself any suggestions on how to measure it to fit the hole? Or is it just a guessing game lol.

Updated the info above with the supply list for anyone wanting to do their own repairs. And yes, for replacing lost horns it's basically a game of trying multiple different ones until I find one of my premades that fits, OR sculpting a brand new one to the size of the empty socket.

Question about tesla repairs. Per game lore, I was told in the past some wyrms (such as marine wyrms) don't have bones and therefore have bows or goggles instead of tesla repairs. If we were wanting wyrms to sent for repairs, would it cost the same or be slightly more expensive for those repairs?

Consider game lore tweaked a bit to allow for tesla repairs on any Wyrm Breed. Non tesla repairs will be handled like Re-birth in the future, dependant upon the time I have free to handle the more time consuming repairs.
